History
Gamebookers started life as an online sports betting firm based out of the Bahamas and offering services to the European market.
After gaining a considerable user base the firm was bought in 2006 by bwin.party, the world’s largest online gambling company, which has shares traded on the London Stock Exchange. Since then Gamebookers has been using the resources made available by their new owners to increase their standing and popularity in the online gambling market, focussing on online poker, sports betting, casino games and financial markets.
Reputation
Thanks to their long histor and association with PartyGaming, Gamebookers Poker has developed a strong reputation for fairness. This is echoed by the fact that Gamebookers Poker retains an independent testing firm to run regular checks on their games and systems, in order to ensure fairness and parity across the board. Along with ensuring fairness, this independent testing service also ensures that all financial transactions stay secure.
Software and Graphics
The Gamebookers Poker software is based on PartyPoker’s industry-leading client, a piece of software that has proven incredibly popular having been downloaded more than 30 million times.
Compared to other versions based on the PartyPoker original, the Gamebookers Poker software shows a strong graphical upgrade with more detailed graphics and a cleaner appearance. However, despite the better graphics the software is still basic enough to run smoothly when multi-tabling.
When looking for poker, the tables are quick and easy to navigate. Players can either browse manually for games, applying filters to narrow their options or can use the quick search function. This allows players to search for a table based on the number of other players, stake and what variety of poker is being played. Players can then either be automatically seated at a matching table or see a list of results.
Poker Game Varieties
Gamebookers Poker offers a selection of today’s most popular poker games, including a strong focus on the market-leading No Limit Texas Hold’em, and Pot Limit Omaha/Omaha Hi-Lo. Along with these games, Texas Hold’em is available in Limit and Pot Limit form along with No Limit Omaha, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. Gamebookers Poker also offers PartyGaming’s innovative Double Hold’em game where the rules of Texas Hold’em are followed, except that players are dealt three hole cards and make two hands, with their best hand at the end being the one they show.
Sign-up Bonus and Reward Scheme
New players at Gamebookers Poker are offered a sign-up bonus up to £100 and after that are treated to regular freerolls, chances to win seats at major land-based tournaments and prize draws for rewards like holidays and gadgets.
While playing on the Gamebookers Poker service players earn GB Points based on the amount they stake. As players accumulate these points they become eligible for bigger and better rewards like bonus codes and rakebacks.
